New Zealand The Great!

Surfing Raglan

ITS AMAZING HERE! From green rolling hills where cows and sheep feed to crystal clear waters. New Zealand is a beautiful country a mix between Northern California like Point Reyes/Half Moon Bay area to the hills of Ireland or Scotland with the feel and beaches of Kauai. All beauty of each destination we love mixed in one place! On top of it all its San Diego weather...perfect 75 degrees with a breeze.
The first few nights we stayed in a cute bed and breakfast at "Hot Water Beach". At mid night you can walk down to the beach and under the most amazing blanket of stars you dig a hole in the damp sand (at mid night because of low tide) and boiling hot water fills the hole! Doug of course made a trail for cool water to venture in leaving us with the perfect tempatured beach jacuzzi under the stars! We also went to Cathedral Cove...this was in Narnia - Prince Caspian. To us, it should be voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Huge caves to walk through, amazing ocean water and a fresh water, water fall trickling down off the cliffs. It was like a dream there!
Now we are in a town called Raglan it super cute and quaint here. Doug is in heaven because of the surf...he surfed for 2 hours today and did amazing! It was so fun to watch, he would ride the waves for a couple hundred yards! He got lucky...no blessed that the time we are here there is a swell! Our place here, The Ivy House is on top of the cliffs over looking his new surf spot and the whole Tasman sea! Its pretty great. Wish you all where here to experience this trip with us! Thats it so far, a week left in NZ...post more later. xoxo
